Nestor Cola-Almeida has a market trajectory of more than 45 years in international broking having occupied several board positions in London and in Latin America, including Managing Director for the Southern Cone and Latin American Technical Coordinator.

During this period, he has been involved in hundreds of reinsurance transactions for large industrial conglomerates with special dedication to complex risks in the Energy and Construction Sectors, participating and leading reinsurance programs for the largest energy projects in Latin America from initial construction until start up and operation.

He is a recognized speaker in Reinsurance Conferences and Seminars and regularly contributes with articles and interviews for specialized press in the reinsurance sector.

As Founding Partner and President of Altius Reinsurance Services, Nestor brings his experience, vision and expertise to the general management of the firm.

Alex Cola-Almeida
Commercial Director

Alex Cola-Almeida studied Economy at San Andres University and started his professional career in the Financial Industry in several investment Banks. Later on, he joined the international insurance market where he already has more than 10 years’ experience.

He started in the Insurance Industry as a Lloyd´s Broker in the city of London, and then occupied different executive positions until his present one as Commercial Director of Altius Reinsurance Services.

Alex is responsible for designing and implementing the firm’s commercial strategy focusing on personalized service and permanent assistance of its clients.
